WSO’s Big Birding Bash

The Wisconsin Society for Ornithology invites the bird lovers of Wisconsin to participate in the state’s first ever Big Birding Bash.  There’s something on offer for birders of all levels (members and non-members alike).  Join us for a bird walk, field trip, volunteer work day, or community science event on May 21 or May 22.  Anything goes as long as there are wild birds to see and count!

Groups or individuals may contribute their sightings during those two days to a shared eBird list at WSOBBB. It is our hope that birders in each of Wisconsin’s 72 counties will be able to contribute to our efforts. We are excited to see how many species we can find statewide in a single day!

You may also show us what you and your birding friends are doing on social media and eBird Trip Reports by using the hashtags #WSOBigBirdingBash, #Wibirds, or #WSObirders on your posts.

To add your event or birding meet-up spot, please fill out a Big Birding Bash Event Form.  For the full schedule, click the links below.
