Springs Park

Habitat: Southern Hardwood Forest, Open Water. 

Best Birds: Springs Park is home to Broad-winged Hawk, Barred Owl, woodpeckers and numerous songbirds. The forested waterway provides excellent habitat for wood warblers.

Directions: 53 miles SW of Milwaukee/Located in the southwestern part of the City of Delavan. The park has two access points.  The northern end of the trail may be found by taking East Washington west past the bridge over Swan Creek to a small parking area on the south side of the street (42.630846, -88.652099). Access to the south is obtained by taking South Main Street south and west to a parking loop. The trail at this southern extremity begins just north of the playground. A few benches along the level trail provide nice rest stops.  (42.626233, -88.650744)

The main trail through Springs Park runs north/south along the western edge of Swan Creek. The park is largely wooded, with mature deciduous trees, and the creek may be viewed at two points along the half-mile trai
