Bromley Woods Preserve

Geneva Lake Conservancy--Bromley Woods, Walworth County, WI, US - eBird Hotspot

Habitat: Oak-Hickory Forest, Oak Savanna, Open Water.

Best Birds: One should expect to find warblers such as Cerulean and Hooded, along with Acadian Flycatcher, Wood Thrush, and Scarlet Tanager in the woodlands. In the oak savanna, watch for Red-headed Woodpecker. Overlooking the kettle pond, look for Hooded Merganser.

Directions: 46 miles SW of Milwaukee/6 miles south of Palmyra, about 3/4 mile east of Highway H on Greening Road. Enter on north side of road and drive to a small parking area. Walk north to access the two miles of trails.  (42.810173, -88.587276)

This property, recently acquired by the Geneva Lake Conservancy offers birders an opportunity to explore it's 40 acres of forested ridges and kettles. It is adjacent to lands in the Kettle Moraine State Forest.
