Habitat:  Northern Hardwood Forest, Marsh.

Best Birds:  Birding along the road, listen for Yellow-billed Cuckoo calling from the hillside north of the parking lot, Willow Flycatcher and Orchard Oriole in the open areas east of the parking lot, and Cerulean Warbler in the lowland hardwoods west of the parking lot. 

Other notable species include Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Yellow-throated and Warbling Vireo, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Wood Thrush, Field Sparrow, Eastern Towhee, and Blue-Winged Warbler.  

Directions: 53 miles SW of Eau Claire/about 1.5 miles south of Maiden Rock. From Hwy 35 take County Road AA to a Small parking lot at 44.544450, -92.283411
