Habitat: Southern Hardwood Forest, Native and Restored Grassland
Best birds: The wooded trails along the Pike River often offer great views of spring and fall migrants, including many warbler species and Scarlet Tanager. Check the prairie/grassland on the west side of the property for Eastern Bluebird and Tree Swallow as well as other swallows or nighthawks during migration. The tree line adjacent to the grassland can also be good for migrant warblers.
The feeders maintained near the parking lot can host a variety of birds including Red-headed Woodpecker and Orchard Oriole,
