Habitat: Conifer Bog, Mixed Coniferous Forest, Sedge Meadow.
Best birds: This marsh within Jackson County Forest is a large sedge meadow with concentric rings of small, mid-sized and mature conifers surrounding the open areas. The denser forest holds Blue-headed Vireo, Golden-crowned Kinglet (breeding), Winter Wren, Hermit Thrush, Veery, Lincoln’s Sparrow (breeding), White-throated Sparrow, Golden-winged Warbler, and Canada Warbler.
The open sedge meadow has consistently produced both Henslow’s Sparrow and LeConte’s Sparrow.
