Sunnyside Conservancy

Sunnyside Conservancy, Green Lake County, WI, US - eBird Hotspot

Habitat: Southern Hardwood Forest, Native and Restored Grassland, and Open Water.

Best birds: Breeding species include Eastern Wood-Pewee, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, and Clay-colored Sparrow.  Situated along Silver Creek, this site offers good potential during songbird migration. LeConte’s Sparrow has been found in the prairie on several occasions in the fall.

Directions: 45 miles SW of Appleton.  From County Road A, take Sunnyside Road east and then Lakeview Drive south to the Sunnyside Conservancy parking lot (43.839683, -88.925282).  The main trail and side branches go east from there.  The prairie restoration is located on the north side of the Conservancy, with parking also available off the bend on Grant Street (43.841291, -88.921434).
