Habitat:  Northern Hardwoods, Willow, Alder or Dogwood Swamp, Native and Restored Grassland, Non-Native Grassland and Pasture, Conifer Bog, Marsh, Open Water.

Best Birds:  Trumpeter Swan nest here along with a variety of waterfowl. Virginia and Sora Rail and American Bittern are present, along with a great variety of flycatchers.  Clay-colored, White-throated, and Swamp Sparrow are regular.  Uncommon warblers include Golden-winged, Black-and-White, and Mourning Warbler. Field species including Brown Thrasher and Clay-colored Sparrow are present in the field north of the entrance road.

Directions:  60 miles east of Rhinelander, WI.  Take Highway 32 to County Highway C/Rogers Street to an unnamed entrance road, 45.420551, -88.469855. The entrance road leads to a small parking lot by trail, 45.41455, -88.47434.
