Muddy Creek Wildlife Area

Muddy Creek State Hunting Grounds (Dunn Co.), Dunn County, WI, US - eBird Hotspot

Habitats: Marsh, Sedge Meadow, Restored Grasslands.

Best Birds: Northern Harrier, Bell’s Vireo and, Western Meadowlark. In winter Rough-legged Hawk, Snowy Owl, Northern Shrike, Common Redpoll, and Snow Bunting imay be found.

Directions: 16 miles northwest of Eau Claire. It is located west of the village of Elk Mound, less than 1 mile west of the Hwy 12 exit off of I-94. This area generally follows the course of Muddy Creek and County Highway E for approximately 5 miles (1 mile north of the Interstate and 4 miles south). Access to the property can be gained through numerous parking lots along the county and town roads as well as three lots off of U.S. Highway 12/State Highway 29.
