Habitat: Open Water,

 Beach and Mudflats. 

Best Birds: In winter Common Goldeneye, and Common Merganser, and in migration Hooded Merganser. In spring and summer, Bald Eagle, Osprey, Chimney Swift,Cliff, Bank and Northern Rough-winged Swallow

Directions: 13 miles NE of Eau Claire, in the city of Chippewa Falls. The Main Street Bridge is the westerly bridge. The boat launch is on the south side of the bridge on Riverside Drive.  Views of this area can be obtained at the boat launch, from the Main Street bridge, Riverfront Park across from the boat launch, and wooded areas along the Chippewa River.
