Habitat: Marsh, Mixed Coniferous Forest, Northern Hardwood Forest, Cedar Swamp.

Best Birds: The marsh here is excellent for American Black Duck, plus other waterfowl in migration, Virginia Rail, Sora, and Marsh Wren. Least Bittern are seen most years. This can be a very good spot for passerine migration. The cedar swamps and springs and spring-fed lagoon are a good place to check in winter for unusual species.

Directions: Off Hwy 2 on the west side of Ashland, from Turner Road South take the first right.
