Morgan Falls & St. Peter's Dome
Habitat: Hemlock-Hardwood Forest, Northern Hardwood Forest.
Best Birds: Good spot for Wood Thrush, Winter Wren, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Canada Warbler, and Scarlet Tanager.
Directions: Eighteen miles south of Ashland. On Ashland/Bayfield Road there is a U.S. Forest Service Parking lot on the east side (fee required). You can take the short hike (1.5 mi round trip) to the bottom of Morgan Falls, or take the longer hike (4 mi round trip) to the scenic overlook at St. Peter’s Dome.
