Habitat: Open Water, Residential, Mixed Coniferous Forest.
Best Birds: Trumpeter and Tundra Swan and other waterfowl. The underside of the Hwy 13 bridge hosts an active colony of Cliff Swallow.
Directions: 82 miles S of Wausau/just north of the small community of Cottonville. The boat launch drive and parking is just northeast of the Hwy 13 bridge that crosses Roche a Cri Creek.

Roche a Cri Creek on the east side of the bridge opens early in the spring and stays open until late fall. The open water of Big Roche a Cri lake on the westside can be viewed safely from a rocky pathway under the bridge. The creekside and lakeside is lined with mixed forest and vacation home properties.
