This fieldtrip starts very early so attendees can experience the remarkable dawn chorus, including owls, American Bitterns, Wilson’s Snipe, American Woodcock, rails, cranes, etc. as the marsh awakens. The group will be doing some hiking for a while (on a level, gravel roadway), and then we’ll travel by car caravan to other nearby birding sites. Time permitting, other destinations may include Lake Puckaway, portions of Grand River Marsh Wildlife Area, and Lake Maria.
