Big Sit at Wehr

To celebrate World Migratory Bird Day and inspire a curiosity for birding, Wehr is partnering with the Wisconsin Metro Audubon Society (WMAS) to host a “Big Sit” bird count. Enjoy a morning of observing birds by both sight and sound from the convenience of one stationary location. Birders of all ages, abilities, and levels are welcome to discover and test their skills at Wehr’s Viewing Deck or the South Pier. Experienced birders and binoculars will be on hand for visitors to access. Stop by the count sites to check out species seen on our whiteboard. Donations are welcomed to advance our efforts to be a leading destination for equitable access to nature.
