The Coulee Region Audubon Society will host Markus Mika at their monthly meeting. He is on the staff at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and spends his summers doing field research in Utah and Arizona. He'll be sharing information on the Flammulated Owl; its reproduction, parental investment and conditions of juveniles. While not an owl of our region, learning about those in other areas is always interesting.
We meet at the Ho-Chunk Nation Building, 724 Main Street, La Crosse, beginning at 7 PM. Meetings are free and open to the public.
