We’ll spend a good portion of the morning here at Buena Vista looking for wintering raptors, Greater Prairie-Chicken, Snowy Owl, Northern Shrike, and Common Redpoll. Scouting will determine what we’ll do from there.  We may bird other locations in Portage County, or we may decide to head over to the Necedah NWR area in search of Golden Eagle, Red-headed Woodpecker, and others. Bring a bag lunch to eat in your car – we will likely finish sometime in the early afternoon.
