Honey Creek Birdathon and Bandathon

This annual event takes place at Harold and Carla Kruse Nature Preserve at Honey Creek in the Baraboo hills of Sauk County. This is a fundraiser for the preserve; proceeds go to the management and upkeep of this unique natural area. Potential highlights include Cerulean Warbler, Hooded Warbler, Acadian Flycatcher and Red-shouldered Hawk.

Banding will be conducted both days, weather permitting. Arrive by 8 a.m. on Sunday to join other WSO birders in a Birdathon that will include a hike up Honey Creek valley.

Directions: Go west out of Prairie du Sac on Highway PF approximately 15 miles to Skyview Dr. Turn left and travel 3/4 mile to Alder Drive. Turn left and continue to Cox Nature Center.
