Yellowstone Lake is not only lovely in the fall, it sees a wide – and often surprising – variety of migrant waterfowl, shorebirds, and songbirds. We’ll explore the lake and surrounding woods in search of fall migrants. This trip is open to birders at all levels. We will have a few extra pairs of binoculars for those who need them.
Special Instructions:
A valid WI State Park sticker or paid entrance fee is required for this trip.
The trip will be held, rain or shine. Dress according to the forecast. We’ll be walking the Wildlife Loop trail, which is one-mile long, flat, and mowed. It is cooler by the lake, so bring an extra layer! Bring a spotting scope if you have one. We may also walk parts of the Oak Ridge and Prairie Loop trails if time permits and people are up for it.
