This trip will include a combination of car caravan and some light walking. Highlights include an assortment of waterfowl, Greater Prarie-Chickens, Lapland Longspurs, also some early spring passerines such as Winter Wren, sparrows (Fox, Vesper, Swamp), Yellow-rumped Warblers, and other songbirds. Trip registration opens on March 17.
Initially this event will be open only to WSO members and our field trips are free for members. Non-members are able to sign up within 14 days of the trip for a nominal fee of $10 per adult if spots remain open on trips with attendance limits. Further details about trip logistics will be sent to registrants prior to each field trip.
