Hawk Watch at Harrington Beach State Park

Join Tom and Jeff (WSO's field trips co-chairs) as we explore the birds at Harrington Beach State Park. The proximity of this park to Lake Michigan can sometimes produce good raptor migrations in the fall, but the variety of habitats can be good for other birds also. Please note that there is a state park entrance fee. Later in the morning we may also venture south to the Western Great Lakes Bird and Bat Observatory and check for additional species at that site. Bring a lunch.

Trip registration opens on September 1.
Initially this event will be open only to WSO members and our field trips are free for members. Non-members are able to sign up within 14 days of the trip for a nominal fee of $10 per adult if spots remain open on trips with attendance limits. Further details about trip logistics will be sent to registrants prior to each field trip.
