Join leaders Dan Belter and Rob Pendergast in taking in the breeding birds of these top grasslands in the state. Breeding grassland specialties will be the highlights, likely including Upland Sandpiper, Western Meadowlark, Brewer’s Blackbird, Henslow’s and Grasshopper Sparrows, and possibly Greater Prairie-Chicken. We will collect breeding data for these species in multiple priority blocks for Wisconsin Breeding Bird Atlas II.
