WSO promotes education.

WSO provides informational and educational materials in the areas of ornithology, environment, and conservation including:
  • writing Fact Sheets about important bird-related topics.
  • establishing a special Youth Grant Program to work with teachers and to develop programs specifically for youth.
  • exhibiting at various state and regional environmental and conservation events.
  • presenting a biennial ornithological symposium.
  • actively supporting Wisconsin's Neotropical Partners in Flight program.
  • developing a Bird Monitoring Kit Program to enable educators to introduce students to birds and their habitats while exploring the outdoors.
