Join Atlas Waukesha County Coordinator Tim Hahn for an evening field trip through Vernon Marsh SWA to gather data for the Genesee CE block. You'll start out by listening for woodcock near the parking lot, then spend some time near the border of the marsh and woods listening for rails, bitterns, and other marshbirds. Owls are also a good possibility in the woods. If conditions are suitable, the group will also check the woods on the west side of the property near the Fox River and Cty I.

This event is part of Nocturnal Atlasing Week, a fun way to learn how to collect nocturnal data for Wisconsin Breeding Bird Atlas II.
